Tradewind Recruitment is working with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools in Dalston, Hackney, who are looking to appoint passionate Teaching Assistants to join their teams from September 2026. These full-time, long-term opportunities offer the potential to become permanent for the right candidates.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils in class to maximise their learning and development
- Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and activities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support where required
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupil wellbeing
- Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
- Support children with varying learning needs, including those with SEND where required
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Have at least 6 months' experience working in a UK primary school
- Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service
- Be available to work Monday to Friday (5 days per week)
- Be flexible to travel to schools across both Hackney and surrounding boroughs
- Have excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Be proactive, reliable and passionate about supporting children's learning
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEND) is advantageous but not essential.
