Are you a Teaching Assistant with SEND experience? As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide support to students with complex needs, physical disabilities and other special needs. This role gives you an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young students and work closely with teachers to ensure students receive the necessary support to excel academically.
Responsibilities
- Offering support to students with their studies, including one-to-one.
- Support pupils with complex needs.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Providing guidance and support to students, ensuring their welfare is protected.
- Contributing to the development of school policies and strategies.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, working within care or support roles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- A caring and nurturing personality.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- A valid child only DBS check.
