Are you an experienced Food Technician with a strong knowledge of food technology, practical skills, and a passion for supporting young people in their learning? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technician to join a welcoming and supportive school in Greenwich. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a Food Technician or similar role, alongside strong practical and technical knowledge within the field. A relevant degree or qualification is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and organise food ingredients, equipment, and resources for practical lessons.
- Support teaching staff and students during food technology and practical sessions.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health and safety.
- Manage and maintain food technology equipment and stock.
- Assist with ordering and monitoring supplies and resources.
- Ensure the food technology facilities are safe, organised, and well maintained.
- Provide practical support to students, helping them develop their skills and confidence.
- Previous experience working as a Food Technician or in a relevant food-related role.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, hygiene, and health and safety.
- A relevant degree or qualification is desirable.
- Excellent organisational and practical skills.
- A proactive, reliable, and positive approach to work.
- The ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff and students.
