About the Graduate Teaching Programme
The Graduate Teaching Programme provides graduates with the opportunity to work in a school setting while developing the skills and experience needed to progress into teacher training routes such as PGCE, School Direct, or SCITT.
You will gain hands‑on classroom experience, work closely with experienced teachers, and develop a strong understanding of teaching, behaviour management, and the day‑to‑day life of a school.
The Role
- Supporting teachers in the classroom across lessons
- Working with pupils 1:1 or in small groups to support learning
- Assisting with classroom management and engagement
- Helping prepare resources and support lesson delivery
- Gaining exposure to planning, assessment, and pastoral support
The Ideal Candidate
- A graduate in any subject (core subjects desirable but not essential)
- Passionate about education and working with young people
- Confident, enthusiastic, and reliable
- Considering a future career in teaching
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
