Graduate Teacher Training Opportunity – Northampton
Location: Northampton
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Contract: Full‑time Term‑time Only
Pay rate: £95‑120 per day (dependent on experience)
Are you a recent graduate with a passion for education and a desire to train as a qualified teacher? We’re working in partnership with secondary schools across Northampton who are offering Graduate Teacher Training pathways beginning ASAP or from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on classroom experience while developing the skills needed to progress into a PGCE, SCITT, QTS or teacher apprenticeship route.
About the Role
This full‑time, paid position is designed to equip aspiring teachers with real classroom experience, mentorship and professional development. You'll work alongside experienced educators, take on increasing responsibilities and build confidence in lesson delivery, behaviour management and student support.
- Deliver pre‑prepared lessons under the guidance of qualified teachers
- Support students across a range of subjects and year groups
- Provide one‑to‑one or small group intervention sessions
- Promote a positive, inclusive and well‑managed learning environment
- Assist with lesson planning, classroom resources and administrative tasks
- Gain valuable experience to strengthen future teacher training applications
