Girls\’ PE Teacher
Location: Northampton

Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic PE teacher with a passion for girls\’ physical education and wellbeing? Are you ready to inspire the next generation of confident, resilient, and active young women? If so, we\’re excited to hear from you.

We are working closely with several thriving secondary schools in Northampton that are seeking dedicated Girls\’ PE Teachers to join their departments from September 2025. These schools place a strong emphasis on physical health, student participation, and developing leadership and teamwork skills through sport.

About the Role:
This is a full-time, permanent teaching position with the opportunity to deliver high-quality Physical Education across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Some schools may also offer KS5 for experienced applicants.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging, inclusive, and challenging PE lessons across a range of sports and activities

  • Promoting lifelong participation in sport and healthy lifestyles among female students

  • Organising and leading extracurricular clubs, fixtures, and sports events

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and enrichment offer

  • Supporting and encouraging students of all ability levels, including those with SEND or less confidence in physical activity

  • Playing a key role in whole-school wellbeing, teamwork, and leadership development initiatives

What We\’re Looking For:
Applications are welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced practitioners. The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent

  • A strong understanding of the PE curriculum and sports development for girls

  • Confidence in teaching a wide range of sports, fitness, and health education topics

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • A commitment to promoting inclusivity, teamwork, and positive attitudes towards physical activity

  • Enthusiasm for leading extracurricular opportunities and contributing to the wider life of the school
