Teacher of English in Gillingham

English Teacher (KS3/KS4)

Salary – MPS1 – UPS3, depending on experience.

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking creative English teachers to work in a range of secondary schools in the Gillingham and surrounding area. The role starts in January and continues until the end of the academic year – July 2026.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and creative English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and enrich the educational experiences of the students.
• Spark curiosity and critical thinking through the exploration of English literature and language.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS status or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.
• Have the ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.
• Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS disclosure and professional reference checks.
• Provide a CV covering the last ten years of employment history where possible.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
