This is a unique opportunity to teach a subject you love in a supportive, specialist setting where every lesson you deliver has a meaningful impact. You will be teaching pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on delivering engaging, accessible lessons tailored to a variety of learning needs, including autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), and moderate learning difficulties.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide differentiated lessons, maintain positive behaviour strategies, and help students develop both academically and personally.

The role includes:

  • Planning and delivering Geography lessons adapted to individual needs.
  • Using creative approaches to make Geography relevant and exciting.
  • Supporting students with a range of SEN through scaffolded learning.
  • Working collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and therapists.
  • Contributing to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS).
  • A background in teaching Geography at KS3/KS4.
  • A genuine interest in working within an SEN environment (experience preferred but not essential).
  • Patience, resilience, and a nurturing attitude.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
