Tradewind are recruiting! Are you looking for your next role teaching Geography in a school located in Southwark? Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be working with this Client, a highly respected and ambitious secondary foundation school based in Southwark, who are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Geography Teacher to join their successful Humanities department on a permanent basis from September. This is a full-time opportunity offering a salary on the London MPS/UPS scale, with interviews to be arranged immediately.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and forward-thinking Humanities department, delivering engaging and inspiring Geography lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and potentially Key Stage 5.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering high-quality Geography lessons that engage and challenge students
  • Creating a stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity and academic achievement
  • Assessing, monitoring, and tracking student progress effectively
  • Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development
  • Supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement
  • Participating fully in departmental and whole-school initiatives
Qualifications
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have a relevant degree in Geography or a related subject
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography
  • Have experience teaching Geography at secondary level
  • Be committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning
  • Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Be dedicated to supporting student progress and achievement
  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team
