Tradewind Education are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 at several welcoming and inclusive primary schools in South Liverpool. This role will involve working on a 1:1 basis or with small groups, supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to help them reach their full potential in a nurturing environment.
The Role:
- Supporting children with a range of additional needs, such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
- Adapting learning materials and activities to suit individual needs.
- Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised support plans.
- Encouraging social and emotional development and promoting positive behaviour.
What We're Looking For:
- A Level 2 (or higher) Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting.
- A good understanding of the needs of primary-aged children and how to support them effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and a caring nature.
