Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a number of well-regarded secondary schools in Northampton, all seeking to appoint passionate and enthusiastic French Teachers to start in October 2025. These full-time roles offer long-term supply placements with the potential for permanent contracts, depending on your preference and experience.
What You\βll Be Doing:
- Teaching French to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with KS5/A-Level teaching available in some schools)
- Planning and delivering lessons that build vocabulary, fluency, and cultural understanding
- Supporting students of all abilities through differentiated teaching and tailored feedback
- Creating a positive and engaging classroom where students feel confident using a second language
- Working with the MFL team on curriculum planning, assessments, and language-based enrichment opportunities such as clubs, trips, or cultural events
What We\βre Looking For:
- A qualified French teacher with QTS/QTLS or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge of the French curriculum and exam specifications (GCSE essential; A-Level desirable)
- A confident classroom practitioner with excellent behaviour management skills
- Passionate about French language and Francophone culture, with a clear ability to motivate students
- Open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) β full induction support provided
