A Good-rated secondary school in Darlington is seeking a passionate, motivated, and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join their supportive DT department as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to engage and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them develop creativity, technical ability, and confidence when working with a wide range of materials and tools.
The Role
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach across KS3 and KS4, with the ability to cover areas such as resistant materials, product design, engineering, graphics, or systems (depending on your specialism).
- Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that encourages innovation, practical skill development, and independent thinking.
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those requiring additional support.
- Monitor progress, assess learning, and provide meaningful feedback to support student development.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations, ensuring they feel confident and well prepared.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

- Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to raising standards.
- A proactive approach to maintaining high health and safety standards in workshop environments.
