Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Farnworth. This rewarding role is available for an ASAP or September start and offers an excellent opportunity to support children within a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. You will provide classroom support, deliver interventions, and work with children who may require additional guidance throughout the school day.
The school is seeking someone who is passionate about education and eager to make a positive contribution to pupils' academic, social, and emotional development. You will need to be adaptable, proactive, and confident building relationships with children from a range of backgrounds and abilities.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the class teacher during lessons and activities
- Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions
- Encouraging pupil participation and confidence
- Supporting children with additional learning needs where necessary
- Assisting with classroom organisation and preparation
- Helping to maintain a positive and safe learning environment
To be successful in this role, you should:
- Have experience working with children in a school or similar setting
- Be patient, supportive, and enthusiastic
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Be able to adapt to different classroom situations
- Hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
