This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2026, supporting children at the very beginning of their educational journey.
The Role
- Support pupils within Nursery and/or Reception, helping to create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Location: Preston, Lancashire

Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Pay: Competitive daily rates, paid weekly
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based EYFS learning.
- Working with small groups and individual pupils to support early development.
- Encouraging communication, social interaction, and early literacy/numeracy skills.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Supporting pupils' personal, social, and emotional development.
- Observing and feeding back on pupil progress where required.
Requirements
- Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Have experience working within EYFS settings (school or nursery).
- Be caring, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting young children.
- Have good communication and teamwork skills.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
- Provide professional references and have the legal right to work in the UK.
