Location: Salford

Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday), September Start

Salary: 95 - 100 PAYE per day (dependent on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a Primary School in the heart of Salford who is looking for an Early Years TA to work in their Pre‑School room. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, thrive, and grow.

About the Role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant in the Pre‑School room, you will play a vital role in the early development of young learners, helping to lay the foundation for their educational journey. Working full‑time, Monday to Friday, you will provide exceptional care and support to children under 3, ensuring a safe, engaging and stimulating environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the EYFS curriculum by delivering engaging and age‑appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
  • Creating a nurturing, welcoming, and safe environment where children can build their confidence and independence.
  • Assisting with day‑to‑day routines, including meal times, personal care, and outdoor activities.
  • Observing and assessing children’s progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing feedback to parents and carers.
  • Collaborating with the wider early years and school staff to deliver a seamless learning experience.
  • Ensuring all safeguarding and health and safety protocols are followed at all times.

What We’re Looking For

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience working within the EYFS, particularly with children under 3 years old.
  • A passion for supporting children’s early development and helping them reach key milestones.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents and colleagues.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A thorough understanding of safeguarding practices and child development.
