EYFS 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Contract

Location: Croydon, South London

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a wonderful Primary School in Croydon seeking a caring and dedicated EYFS 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to a pupil within their Early Years Foundation Stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil in the EYFS, assisting with learning, communication, and social development.
  • Support the class teacher in creating a stimulating and safe learning environment.
  • Use play‑based approaches to help the child engage with early learning goals.
  • Monitor progress, celebrate achievements, and adapt support strategies as needed.
  • Foster independence, confidence, and a love of learning in every interaction.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working in an EYFS setting or supporting young children (Nursery or Reception).
  • Understanding of Early Years development and/or experience supporting SEND pupils.
  • Warm, patient, and nurturing approach with strong communication skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Available to work full‑time (Monday-Friday) from October 2025.
