A three-form entry faith primary school in Ealing Broadway is looking for an experienced Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. This role is within a large Nursery class of 52 pupils, which already has two Nursery Teachers and two TAs. The school is now seeking a third TA to provide additional support across the class, including working with children with special educational needs (SEN), though not in a 1:1 capacity.
The school is centrally located in Ealing Broadway, with excellent transport links via the Elizabeth, Central and District lines, plus numerous bus routes. Facilities include a modern Early Years building with direct access to a secure outdoor play space, a well-resourced library, on-site parking, and strong community ties.
About the Role
- Supporting the Nursery Teachers and TAs in delivering the EYFS curriculum
- Working with groups of children across the class, including those with additional needs
- Ensuring IEPs (Individual Education Plans) are followed and implemented effectively
- Assisting in creating a stimulating, safe and inclusive learning environment
- Helping with assessments, observations and record-keeping as directed by teachers
- Contributing to the smooth running of the class, including preparation of resources and supervision at playtimes
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in an Early Years setting is essential
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Education (e.g. CACHE Level 3) is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of EYFS and strategies for supporting children with SEN
- Experience of working with IEPs and adapting support accordingly
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a busy, large Nursery environment
- A warm, proactive and patient approach to supporting young children
