Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream primary school to recruit a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teacher to work within their Specialist Resource Provision (SRP). This is a unique opportunity to lead learning for early years pupils with additional needs, supporting children with Autism (ASC) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) in a nurturing, structured, and highly supportive environment.
The Role
- You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate EYFS lessons tailored to meet a range of individual needs.
- Working within the SRP, you will focus on early communication, social development, early literacy and numeracy, and school readiness skills.
- You will also support pupils in accessing mainstream EYFS provision where appropriate.
- You will work closely with the SENCO, support staff, and external professionals such as Speech and Language Therapists to ensure pupils receive a highly personalised approach to learning.
Qualifications
- Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Has strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Has experience working with SEN, particularly ASC and/or SLCN (highly desirable)
- Is skilled in adapting learning to meet individual developmental needs
- Uses or is willing to develop strategies such as visual timetables, PECS, and Makaton
- Is patient, nurturing, and highly consistent in approach
- Can build strong relationships with pupils, families, and professionals
- Works effectively as part of a collaborative team
