Are you a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young children during the early stages of their education? We are working with a welcoming primary school in Darwen that is looking to appoint a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a child joining Reception in September. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s transition into school while working as part of a supportive Early Years team.
The Role
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child starting Reception in September.
- Support the child’s communication, language, and social development throughout the school day.
- Deliver and reinforce phonics activities to support early reading skills.
- Encourage learning through play, helping to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external professionals to support the child’s individual needs.
- Observe and record progress, contributing to planning and review meetings where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
