Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming Nursery School in St Albans who are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support for a child with physical disabilities and learning impairments, helping them to access learning, develop communication skills, and feel fully supported within the nursery environment.

The Role

  • Full-time position - Monday to Friday
  • Supporting a nursery-aged child on a 1:1 basis
  • Assisting with mobility and personal care where required
  • Supporting learning, engagement, and social development
  • Working closely with nursery staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach
  • Experience working with physical disabilities and learning impairments (desirable)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A passion for supporting early years education
