Tradewind Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a secondary school in Huyton to recruit experienced Cover Supervisors for full and part-time roles. This role is ideal for a confident and resilient professional with strong behaviour management skills and proven experience working within a secondary school environment.
The Role
- As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of teaching staff, maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring high standards of behaviour and engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 using pre-set work
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently
- Ensuring students remain on task and engaged in learning
- Following school behaviour policies and reporting incidents accurately
- Providing feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
- Supporting the wider school team as required
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or working in a secondary school (essential)
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to maintain control of the classroom
- Confident, calm and professional approach
