About the Role
An inclusive SEMH secondary school in Derby City is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher from May 2026. You will support pupils with SEMH needs, helping them regulate behaviour, build confidence and re-engage with learning. The school provides a structured, nurturing environment with small classes, strong pastoral support and an experienced team.
- Support pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs across KS3 and 4
- Provide 1:1 and small-group learning and emotional support
- Implement behaviour plans and risk assessments
The Ideal Candidate
- Calm, resilient and nurturing, with experience supporting SEMH or SEN pupils.
- Confident managing challenging behaviour and building strong relationships.
- SEMH/SEN/PRU or alternative provision experience
