An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, resilient, and dedicated Teacher of PSHE Humanities to join a highly supportive and specialist educational setting in the Colchester area. This rewarding role would suit a teacher who is committed to making a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, SEND, and those who may have experienced trauma and adversity.

The Role

The school is seeking a committed classroom practitioner who can deliver engaging PSHE and Humanities lessons while supporting pupils' wider emotional, social, and educational development. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEND and SEMH needs
  • Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on pupil progress
  • Acting as a Form Tutor and key contact for families
  • Contributing to EHCP reviews, pastoral support plans, and progress reports
  • Promoting positive behaviour
