The Opportunity
Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Durham to recruit a talented and enthusiastic English Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive department and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a key role in developing students' literacy, analytical thinking, and love for literature, helping them build essential skills for academic success and beyond.
Your Role Will Include:
- Delivering high‑quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teaching a range of topics including literature, language, and creative writing
- Planning engaging and differentiated lessons to meet diverse learner needs
- Assessing, monitoring, and supporting student progress
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
