Overview: Full-Time Supply (KS3 & KS4) - Halton Secondary School.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Teach English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering both English Language and English Literature programmes, supporting students to achieve excellent outcomes and raising aspirations.
- Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across KS3 & KS4.
- Assess and track student progress and intervene where required to raise attainment.
- Promote literacy and oracy across the curriculum.
- Contribute to the supportive and high-performing culture of the department and school.

Person Specification:
- Is a qualified English teacher and holds QTS (or equivalent).
- Has recent experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of how to teach English Language and Literature, including preparing students for GCSE outcomes.
- Is able to motivate and engage students, and maintain high standards of behaviour and work ethic.
- Shares the school's values of respect, belief and giving your best, and supports the "growth mindset" culture.
- Has strong organisational skills, the ability to plan sequenced lessons, assess student progress and intervene where necessary.
- Is adaptable, proactive and able to integrate quickly into a new department, contributing positively to the team and the school ethos.
