Are you a passionate and enthusiastic English Teacher looking for a supply teaching role? We are currently seeking experienced English Teachers to join us and work in secondary schools in Swindon. We will have supply teaching positions starting in September 2025 until July 2026, and we are committed to continued recruitment to help support our many loyal client secondary schools in Swindon. Our client schools will accept someone on a part time basis, 3-4 days per week if they can display the right skills for the job. Pay will be based on pay scale but will begin for an ECT at £150 per day up to UPS3. Some of our roles may include full planning and marking but this will be dependent on the schools' needs at the time.

The ideal English Supply Teachers for these roles will have a passion for teaching Literature and a strong track record of engaging and inspiring students in their learning of English. They will have excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical skills and be committed to supporting our various clients' schools across Swindon. There are always opportunities for contracts with our client schools if things go well and if that is what you wish! Many of our supply teachers stay with us for years as they love the flexibility! We will work around you!

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred but not essential if you have proven experience of teaching English language and/or literature
  • Relevant degree and teaching qualifications
  • Proven experience teaching English at secondary school level
  • Strong subject knowledge and pedagogical skills
  • Experience with teaching Language and Literature up to KS4
  • Ability to design and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
