English Instructor – Northampton

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire

Start Date: January 2026

Contract: Full-Time Long-Term or Permanent

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming secondary school in Northampton, seeking a committed English Instructor to join their team from January 2026. This full-time role is perfect for someone with a background in education, tutoring, or alternative provision who can confidently deliver Key Stage 3 and 4 English lessons.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging English lessons using provided materials and creative approaches
  • Support students in developing literacy, comprehension, and writing skills
  • Adapt lessons to meet varied learning needs, including SEND and SEMH students
  • Work collaboratively with English and pastoral teams to ensure student progress
  • Provide constructive feedback and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment

About You

  • Strong knowledge of English Language and Literature
  • Experience working with secondary-aged students
  • Confident, calm classroom presence and excellent communication skills
  • Flexible, proactive, and committed to helping students reach their potential
  • A degree in English or related subject preferred; previous teaching/tutoring experience desirable
