Tradewind Recruitment is placing EYFS Teaching Assistants in primary schools across Enfield on an immediate and ongoing basis. Roles are available in Nursery and Reception classes, full-time or part-time. You will support the class teacher in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum through play-based and adult-led activities. This includes supporting children's communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, early phonics and mathematics. You will help maintain a stimulating and well-organised learning environment, contribute to observations and learning journeys, support children with additional needs and assist with daily care routines as appropriate to the age group.
What we are looking for:
- Experience working with children in the EYFS (ages 3-5), in Nursery or Reception
- Knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and Development Matters
- Warm, nurturing and patient approach with young children
- Ability to support early phonics, communication and social development
- Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification (desirable)
- Experience with SEND in an early years context is an advantage
- Up-to-date safeguarding and child protection awareness
