Your Responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging and personalised lessons that meet the individual needs of their pupils with EHCPs.
- Creating a calm, supportive and inclusive classroom where pupils feel safe, respected and ready to learn.
- Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCO and external professionals to provide the best possible outcome for every child.
- Monitoring progress and adapting socially and emotionally.
- Promoting confidence, reliance and independence through positive relationships and consistent support.
- Encouraging pupils to overcome barriers to learning and celebrate their achievements.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS.
- Has experience teaching in a primary, SEND or specialist education setting, or a strong desire to develop within SEMH education.
- Can adapt lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Is empathetic, patient and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a dedicated support staff team.
