Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a thriving secondary school in the borough of Lambeth to appoint a committed and dynamic Economics & Business Studies Teacher to join their team full‑time from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to teach motivated students across Key Stages 4 and 5 within a supportive and ambitious department. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Economics and Business Studies for KS4 and KS5.
- Assess student progress and prepare learners for GCSE and A‑Level examinations.
- Inspire students, promote academic excellence, and support the school's drive for continued improvement.
- Contribute to the wider life of the department and support curriculum development and enrichment activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Relevant degree in Economics, Business Studies, or a closely related subject.
- Strong subject knowledge in Economics and Business Studies.
- Experience teaching within a secondary school setting; ECTs with strong subject knowledge and placement experience are also encouraged.
- Ability to deliver high‑quality lessons that stretch and challenge all learners, effective classroom and behaviour management, and a commitment to raising attainment.
- Proficiency in using data to track progress and inform planning.

Salary
London MPS/UPS. M1 – M6 salaries are aligned to experience within the Main Pay Range. Teachers typically progress annually from M1 through to M6. UPS requires formal application. TLR payments are made for agreed, sustained additional duties outside of regular teaching. Interviews are to be arranged immediately, and the school will conduct interviews once CVs have been shortlisted.
