Are you passionate about making a real difference to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Tradewind Recruitment are supporting one of their partnership Primary Schools based in the Woolaton area, with a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a Year 1 pupil. This is a beautiful, one-form-entry primary school based in Nottingham which is part of a successful academy trust but holds a community feel within the local area. The school has a wonderful reputation in the area with parents and is a school regularly requested by supply staff to return to.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil in Year 1
- Be confident to support SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional Dysregulation
- Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development
- Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP target and support plan
- Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds at least a Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable)
- Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion
- Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting
- Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and wellbeing
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
- Available Monday to Friday (part-time roles still require availability)
