Are you a passionate and dedicated Early Years Assistant looking to make a real difference in young children's lives? We are currently seeking qualified Early Years Assistants to support a variety of primary schools across Thornton Cleveleys and Fylde from September 2025. These settings will be primary schools and you will be supporting the new cohort of reception pupils.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and nurturing environment, surrounded by enthusiastic colleagues and eager learners. You will need enthusiasm, energy, a can-do attitude, understanding and support to young children who are growing and developing social, emotional and mental skills. You will need to be open to working in and outdoors amongst classes with paint, sensory activities and messy play. These pupils will still be working at an EYFS level and moving into a reception curriculum and may also be learning to toilet train and adapt to school life.

As we are recruiting for a variety of settings, we have a range of roles available from full to part time, all roles are temporary term time only between a working week of Monday - Friday within the hours of 8:30-3:30. Pay is between £13.84 - £14.50 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of engaging and developmentally appropriate activities as an Early Years Assistant.
  • Provide continuous development for all pupils.
  • Encourage curiosity in learning.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress and development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure a cohesive approach to early years education.
  • Build strong relationships with children and their families.
Qualifications
  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
  • Previous experience working as an Early Years Assistant in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and promoting their well-being and development.
