Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming Secondary School in Bolton who are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated EAL Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
This role involves supporting pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL) across a range of subjects, helping them to access the curriculum and develop their English skills in both spoken and written form. You will be working with students on a one-to-one basis as well as in small groups, focusing on vocabulary development, classroom integration, and providing tailored academic support.
The successful candidate will:
- Have prior experience working in schools or educational settings (this is essential and applications without this experience will not be considered).
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Show a patient and adaptable approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting students in their learning.
- Ideally be confident in supporting pupils from a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
