Are you a passionate and resilient SEN Teacher ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a full‑time skilled and dedicated teacher to join a specialist school in Stockton on Tees, starting immediately. The school has young children aged 4‑11, with a diagnosis of autism and who may also have a range of complex learning needs, communication and sensory difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Work closely with support staff and multi‑agency teams
- Use trauma‑informed and behaviour management strategies effectively
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting plans as necessary
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
- Experience teaching pupils with ASD, SEMH and additional needs
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach
- A genuine desire to support vulnerable learners
