Tradewind Recruitment are in partnership agreements with two groups of SEND Schools and we are currently seeking flexible and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis within our SEND Schools across County Durham. You will be supporting pupils aged 2-19 who are autistic or have profound, moderate, severe or complex learning difficulties.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a passion for inclusive education who want to gain experience across different year groups and work with children with special educational needs.
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils
- Assisting with learning activities and adapting materials to meet pupil needs
- Supporting children with their social and emotional development
- Helping to implement Educational health care plans (EHCPs) and behaviour strategies
Experience supporting children with additional needs (school, care or youth work settings are all welcome).
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
A Level 2/3 TA qualification is desirable but not essential.
Local Durham office based in the City Centre.
PAYE only - no umbrella companies.
