About the Role
Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in Durham, seeking a talented and enthusiastic French Teacher to join their successful Modern Foreign Languages department from September 2026 until March 2027. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and ambitious school environment, delivering high-quality French lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop their language skills, cultural understanding, and confidence in both spoken and written French. The school is committed to providing a positive learning environment where both students and staff can thrive. Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching French within a UK secondary school
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Modern Foreign Languages
- The ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities
- Two professional references covering the last two years
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- A proactive, reliable, and adaptable approach to teaching
