Design & Technology and Art Technician – Kensington & Chelsea

DT & Art Technician Required – Full‑time Role

Location: Kensington & Chelsea, Central London

Start Date: September 2026

Contract: Full‑time, 5 days per week

Duration: Sept 2026 – July 2027

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a creative or practical background who is looking to work in a school environment supporting DT and Art.

The role is ideal for candidates with experience in workshop, studio, or educational settings who are confident supporting staff and students in practical learning environments. As a DT & Art Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of lessons by preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and supporting teachers and students during practical sessions in a busy secondary school in Kensington and Chelsea.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Experience in a workshop, studio, school, or practical environment
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of health and safety in practical settings
  • Ability to support students and staff confidently
  • Full‑time availability Sept 2026 – July 2027
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

Desirable

  • Background in Design & Technology, Art, Product Design, or related creative field
  • Previous school‑based technician experience
  • Familiarity with tools, machinery, or art materials
