Tradewind Recruitment in Whitstable is currently recruiting on behalf of several specialist SEN schools across the Dover district that are looking to appoint enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants. If you're passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs, this is an excellent opportunity to join welcoming school communities where your support will have a genuine impact.
Your Responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers and wider school staff to provide individual and small-group support for pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
- Create a safe, engaging and supportive learning environment where every child can reach their full potential.
- Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Moderate, Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties, and Sensory, physical and medical needs.
- Support classroom learning, encourage positive behaviour, develop communication and social skills, and help pupils become more independent both inside and outside the classroom.
