Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Doncaster for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, resilient and committed to helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning. About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD & SLD)
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Complex learning and behavioural needs

You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support that helps pupils access learning, develop independence and achieve their full potential. Some pupils may require additional support with emotional regulation, communication and personal care, so a calm, nurturing and flexible approach is essential.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support throughout the school day.
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
  • Support pupils with their learning, communication and social development.
  • Encourage independence and build pupils' confidence.
  • Use positive behaviour strategies to support emotional regulation.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and wider school staff.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Support other schools within the Trust where required.

Pay Information

Daily pay for this role ranges from £95 to £120 per day. The rate offered will be determined by several factors, including:

  • Relevant skills and previous experience.
  • Availability to work on a full-time basis.

Candidates who are available full-time, demonstrate relevant experience and closely match the school's requirements will typically be considered for the higher end of the pay scale.
