We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) specialising in French and Spanish to join a thriving secondary academy in Doncaster. This is a full-time, long-term position starting as soon as possible, ideal for a passionate educator committed to inspiring students and promoting language learning across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in French and Spanish
- Teach across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of KS5 depending on experience
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and high-achieving students
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning
- Contribute to curriculum development within the MFL department
- Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole-school activities
- Uphold the academy's behaviour management policies and maintain high standards of classroom discipline
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in French, Spanish, or a related subject
- Experience teaching French and Spanish at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language learning
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
- Experience teaching at Key Stage 5
- Familiarity with current GCSE/A-Level specifications
