We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) specialising in French and Spanish to join a thriving secondary academy in Doncaster. This is a full-time, long-term position starting as soon as possible, ideal for a passionate educator committed to inspiring students and promoting language learning across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in French and Spanish
  • Teach across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of KS5 depending on experience
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies
  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and high-achieving students
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning
  • Contribute to curriculum development within the MFL department
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole-school activities
  • Uphold the academy's behaviour management policies and maintain high standards of classroom discipline

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in French, Spanish, or a related subject
  • Experience teaching French and Spanish at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language learning
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable

  • Experience teaching at Key Stage 5
  • Familiarity with current GCSE/A-Level specifications
