Tradewind Education Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teachers to join our growing pool of secondary teaching professionals working across a range of partnership schools in Doncaster and the surrounding areas.
We are recruiting teachers across all Humanities specialisms, including:
- History
- Geography
- Religious Education (RE)
- Citizenship
- Sociology
- Psychology
- Social Sciences
Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we have opportunities to suit your availability and career goals. Assignments include day-to-day supply, short-term cover, and long-term placements, with both full-time and part-time options available.
The Role
As a Humanities Teacher working through Tradewind Education, you will:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities for Key Stage 5 teaching in some settings.
- Plan, prepare and assess learning where required for longer-term assignments.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of different learners.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and student wellbeing.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and school leaders to support student success.
- Contribute to the wider school community where appropriate.
Requirements
To be considered for these opportunities, candidates should have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Humanities subjects within a secondary school setting.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible and professional approach to teaching.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
