Teacher of Food Technology

Tradewind Education is recruiting on behalf of one of our valued secondary partnership schools in Doncaster for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Food Technology to join their team from the start of the new academic year.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a supportive and well-resourced department.

The school is committed to delivering high-quality education and providing students with engaging, practical learning experiences that develop essential life skills.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Food Technology lessons that inspire students.
  • Teach practical and theoretical aspects of food preparation, nutrition, health, and food safety.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
  • Create a safe, organised, and stimulating learning environment, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and work collaboratively with colleagues.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology in a UK secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young people.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • The ability to motivate students and raise attainment.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
