Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a specialist History teacher for a full-time role at a modern secondary academy in Oldham, starting as soon as possible and continuing until July 2026.

The Role

  • Full-time: Monday-Friday
  • Hours: 8.15am-3.00pm
  • Teaching History to KS3 and GCSE (KS5 desirable)
  • Planning, delivering and assessing engaging History lessons
  • Encouraging critical thinking, analytical skills and a passion for historical enquiry
  • Creating a positive, structured classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Differentiating lessons to support a broad range of abilities
  • Contributing to the wider Humanities department where required

The academy is interested in hearing from Early Career Teachers, experienced QTS teachers, or FE lecturers with experience of teaching History to students aged 11-18.
