The school is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and is looking for a committed teacher who can inspire pupils and help them reach their full potential.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging, creative, and purposeful lessons across the Year 5 curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and raise attainment.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning, and presentation.
  • Differentiate and adapt learning to ensure all pupils can access and enjoy the curriculum.
  • Develop pupils' confidence, independence, resilience, and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to support positive pupil outcomes.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 5, is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A passion for helping children achieve their best academically and personally.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • A reflective, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
  • ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply and will receive a comprehensive induction and mentoring programme.
