Data Manager - Secondary School - Slough

Position: Data Manager Location: Slough Contract: Long-term sick cover, starting ASAP Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are currently seeking an experienced Data Manager to join a thriving secondary school on a long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to make an immediate impact and support the school through a period of absence cover.

Duties and Responsibilities

interested applicants, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and maintaining the school\'s MIS (Management Information System) to ensure data is accurate and up to date.
  • Producing reports and analysis to support senior leadership and teaching staff.
  • Overseeing assessment data, attendance, timetabling, and student records.
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR and safeguarding regulations when handling sensitive data.
  • Providing training and support to staff on data systems and processes.
  • Supporting whole-school improvement by identifying trends and patterns in student performance data.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working as a Data Manager (preferably within a school setting).
  • Strong knowledge of SIMS, Arbor, or similar school MIS systems.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and data reporting.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to deadlines.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
