Job Summary
Are you looking for an LSA role in Darwen? We are seeking a proactive and nurturing Learning Support Assistant to join our small, community-focused school. This is a maternity cover position running until the October half term, offering a fantastic opportunity to work across both our Nursery and Primary School settings.
Working Hours & Flexibility
The successful candidate will work on a rotating basis across the school. Shift times vary depending on the department:
- Nursery Department: 08:15 - 15:15 (6.5 hours per day)
- Primary School: 08:45 - 15:30 (6.17 hours per day)
Key Responsibilities
- Support children's learning and development in the Early Years (EYFS) and Primary classrooms.
- Provide 1:1 support and lead small group interventions.
- Foster a safe and engaging environment for pupils in a small school setting.
- Act as a designated first aider for paediatric requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Paediatric First Aid Qualification: This is a mandatory requirement for our Early Years setting.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or LSA in a UK school or nursery.
- Availability: Must be able to start ASAP and commit until October half term.
- DBS: A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
