Location: Potters Bar, Hertfordshire
Start: Immediate start • Full-time, permanent or temporary
Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 FTE (dependent on experience)
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to join a welcoming primary school in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, for an immediate start. Applications will be considered from candidates with previous experience in a school office and strong working knowledge of the Arbor MIS.
The Role
As Office Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the school office, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure smooth administrative operations and a high standard of service to pupils, parents, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school office, ensuring efficient administrative systems and procedures.
- Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, staff, and external agencies, providing a professional and welcoming service.
- Oversee financial administration, including payments, record-keeping, and compliance with school procedures.
- Manage the school's communications, including the main office inbox and internal correspondence.
- Administer admissions, attendance, pupil records, and onboarding using Arbor.
- Coordinate school events, manage office supplies, and oversee resources and equipment.
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, including organising training and meetings.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, GDPR, health and safety, and other statutory requirements.
- Support school marketing and communications, including newsletters, website updates, and social media where required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working within a school office is essential.
- Strong working knowledge of Arbor MIS is essential.
- Experience in a school Office Manager or senior school administration role.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, professional, and solution-focused approach.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and supporting the wider school community.
Hours
Full-time, Monday to Friday
