Level 3 Teaching Assistants - Nursery & EYFS - Croydon

Role: Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis across Nursery and EYFS, including children with mild to moderate SEND.
Are you a nurturing and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant with a passion for Early Years education? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a number of welcoming and well-regarded primary schools across Croydon who are seeking dedicated EYFS and Nursery Teaching Assistants to join their teams.
With growing demand across Nursery and Reception classes, we are looking for caring and proactive individuals who can support young children during these vital early stages of development. Roles will involve:
- Supporting learning through play
- Assisting with phonics and early communication
- Encouraging social and emotional development
- Providing tailored support for children with additional needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted 1:1 or small group support for pupils across Nursery and EYFS
- Support pupils with mild to moderate SEND, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence in learning
- Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to monitor pupil progress and wellbeing
Qualifications:
- Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
- Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (CACHE)
- Level 3 Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development (CCLD)
- Level 3 NVQ in Children's Care, Learning and Development
- Level 3 Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy - Birth to 7
- Level 3 Diploma in Playwork
- Level 3 Award/Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (STLS)
Requirements:
- Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Have recent experience working in a UK primary school setting
- Have experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly in a 1:1 capacity
- Be enthusiastic about supporting children's learning and development
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
