We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Geography to join a successful and supportive Humanities team in a high-performing secondary school in the Crosby area of Merseyside. This role involves teaching Geography across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that inspire curiosity about the world and develop strong geographical knowledge and skills.
The post will start after the Easter holiday and run through the summer term, initially as a temporary supply appointment, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
Working pattern:
- Part-time: 4 days per week
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified Geography Teacher
- Have experience of teaching KS3 and KS4 Geography
- Demonstrate good classroom management and a commitment to high standards
- Be able to contribute positively to a collaborative and values-driven school community
This position would suit a teacher seeking a part-time role with continuity and the potential for long-term employment.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Geography
- An enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one)
- A full and up-to-date CV
- A minimum of two professional references
- The legal right to work in the UK
- An overseas police check (if applicable)
Pay Rate: Up to £232.56 per day, depending on experience.
