Location: Crosby, Merseyside

Contract: Term-time only | Full-time

Start: ASAP until the end of the academy year (17th July 2026)

An oversubscribed and successful 11-18 Church of England secondary academy in Crosby is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join its supportive and forward-thinking team. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced Cover Supervisors looking to gain further classroom experience in a positive secondary school environment.

The role as a Cover Supervisor includes:

  • Supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects
  • Maintaining a calm, purposeful learning environment
  • Managing behaviour in line with the school's policies
  • Supporting pupils to stay engaged and on task

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged students, or experience managing groups of young people in a professional setting (preferred)
  • Confidence in managing classroom behaviour
  • An enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for a new one)
  • A full, up-to-date CV
  • A minimum of two professional references
  • The legal right to work in the UK
  • An overseas police check (if applicable)

Qualified Teacher Status is not required for this role.

Pay rate: Up to £110 per day, depending on experience.
